Note the way the brilliant-cut diamonds beautifully frame the deep blue dial.
EDITOR’S NOTE
Earning its name from the aviator it was crafted for, the Santos de Cartier watch was first designed by Louis Cartier in 1904 to help Alberto Santos Dumont tell time while flying. One of the very first wristwatches ever made, this exquisite timepiece is a medium stainless steel model with brilliant-cut diamonds that frame the square dial. Complete with two easily interchangeable wrist straps, this modern reinterpretation, much like the ones before it, represents the friendship built between the two pioneers.
